PUBG players all over the world have been posting pictures of a Mahindra tractor that has been appearing during gameplay. When these reports reached the ears of Anand Mahindra, he took to Twitter to proclaim, "What on earth is PUBG?"
PUBG (an abbreviated form for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) is an online multiplayer battle-royale game developed by the South Korean video game company Bluehole. It went massively viral within four months of its launch, prompting over 100 milion downloads.
Ok, I admit I’m embarrassed. I try to keep abreast of the latest happenings in the world but what on earth is PUBG? And of course I’m pleased a Mahindra tractor figures in it. What happens to the tractor, by the way? https://t.co/AtRh3Woz62— anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) August 29, 2018
Reports suggest that the people who tweeted to Anand Mahindra about the tractor featuring within gameplay, were either proud of the curation of an Indian agricultural relic in an otherwise global environment, or believed that the Mahindra group was involved in the game's distribution. Mr Mahindra's tweet lays those doubts to rest once and for all. It is indeed, a proud moment for both Mahindra and the Indian agricultural community!
