IAN has announced its first global startup competition, open to applicants associated with Babson College, USA.

The IAN (Indian Angel Network) is a consortium of some of the most evolved investors who are keen on invest in early stage businesses that have shown the potential for truly exponential growth. Extending their passion to scale innovative businesses in an attempt to connect global minds, the network has announced its first global startup competition, inviting applications from entrepreneurs who are, or have been associated with Babson College in the USA.


This contest was conceived by Sandeep Soni (an IAN member) who believes that this will be an opportunity for IAN to leverage its expertise to connect with global entreprenurs, and pave the way for improved strategic international investments.

The winner of this contest will be awarded an equity investment by partners and investors who operate within IAN. Additionally, all contest finalists will receive mentorship and business-scaling assistance from the IAN community.

The competition is open to startups operating in any industry and in any location around the world, as long as they have been founded by Babson students, or even owned, controlled or founded by Babson students, parents, faculty, or alumni.


Interestingly, Babson College has been recognized periodically for their flagship MBA program, which has been consistently ranked number one in the entrepreneurship category by multiple educational rating agencies in the US. Some of their notable alumni include Arthur M. Blank (Co-founder of The Home Depot and owner of the Atlanta Falcons), Marc Bell (CEO of Penthouse Magazine), and celebrity fashion designer Ruthie Davis.

Applications for the contest will be accepted through September, and the finale will be streamed live on December 15, 2018.
